Daniel Alfredo, SH, MH, has been a lawyer for more than 10 years. His practices focus on commercial litigation, criminal litigation and bankruptcy. He received a bachelor degree in law and master degree in business law from Universitas Indonesia.
Daniel joined one of the largest litigation firms in Indonesia in 1998, and right away took part in landmark litigation cases. He represented former Governor of Aceh Abdullah Puteh, which was the first corruption case being investigated by Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission). He also represented former East Timor Governor Jose Abillio Soares, the first case being tried by ad-hoc human rights court. Later in 2006, Daniel joined Hiswara Bunjamin Tandjung, a commercial firm associated with Herbert Smith Freehills. During this time he had the opportunity to sharpen his commercial litigation skills particularly in bankruptcy and arbitration by representing clients such as Morgan Stanley Capital Group, Nokia Siemens Network, and Lehman Brothers Asia Holdings.
In 2008, Daniel founded and established Alfredo Associates. Some of his clients are Indover Asia Limited, PT Bank ANZ Indonesia, PT Bank CIMB Niaga, KODECO Group, Bunge International and Dhana Widyatmika, one of the high profile corruption cases involving Indonesian tax officer. In 2013, Daniel formed Legisperitus Lawyers with Marini Sulaeman, Alamo Laiman and Stephen Magnuson.
Daniel is a member of Peradi (Indonesian Bar Association), registered as Receiver and Administrator for bankruptcy and insolvency and a licensed Mediator of Pusat Mediasi Nasional (National Mediation Centre). He also serves as board member of PT Euegallion Karunia Kemenangan, a private transportation company, and PT Sabai Sport Indonesia, a holding company of sports centre and sport apparels. His passion in Thai martial art has gained him the trust of Pengurus Besar Muaythai Indonesia to sit as board member.
